The 2nd PDC of this year turned out to be one of the best! The response from the students was mind-blowing right from the start. The clarity they have about society, social issues, and the leadership skills they already possess is truly amazing. From the very first session, we could feel the groundwork their teachers had put in to achieve such great results.
And of course, the learning I’m getting through this process is equally valuable. Career guidance has always been the highlight of our PDCs, and the way it shaped up this time was simply superb.
Honestly, every time I go for a SMILE PDC, I ask myself—Is it really making an impact? Am I on the right path? Especially when it means taking breaks from my already tight schedule. And yes, while committing to dates, questions do come up—Why such a long distance from Chennai? Why not somewhere nearby?
But then, experiences like these make it all worth it—the travel, the warm hospitality, and the people. This time, the care and support at Saravanan’s house and last time at Nithi Anna Mama’s house truly made me feel at home. These gestures remind me why I love doing what I do.

We’ve received official permission from the Tamil Nadu Education Department to take these sessions to all government schools in Tiruvannamalai, Kanchipuram, and Thiruvarur districts. This is a big opportunity, and we want to make it huge!
So I’m inviting everyone to join us on this journey. We’re ready to conduct Train the Trainers sessions for anyone interested. Learn some basics from us—and trust me, the rest, the kids themselves will teach you! 🙂

Great to hear this. My amma is not alive to see this, but her blessings are there with you all, especially when the PDC is happening in her hometown. I hope 🤞 someday in the future that I am able to come and join such PDC classes like I used to do in the past.
